What is the Cause of Grey Hair
By OliviaMK
We will all fall victim to this at some point in our lives. One day you will be in front of the bathroom mirror happily brushing your teeth or putting on your make up and then, like a flash of lightning, a grey hair bursts into view in the reflection. You are completely horror-stricken and time seems to stand still for a few seconds. When the horror dissipates, confusion soon follows. You quietly wonder how on earth this could have happened to you. This kind of thing only happens to old people, right? Wrong. Anyone can get grey hair from just about any age. Genetics plays a big part in it, but there is a whole host of other factors that we will get to in a second. Some may panic and search high and low for 'miracle cures' of which there are certainly no shortage of on the market. These 'elixirs' are supposed to halt and even reverse the onslaught of grey hairs. For most of us, though, we will turn to the bottle. Not a vodka bottle, but the plastic kind full of hair dye. Hair dye companies are a multi-billion pound industry getting rich off our fragile vanity.
So let's take a look at the some of the things that are the cause of graying hair:-
stress
lack of exercise
sunlight
bad diet
genetics
hydrogen peroxide - naturally produced in the body
We would all like to grow old gracefully, but when the signs of ageing start to show it can be very disheartening and we would all like to pretend that we're not getting grey hair and not getting any older. So maybe we can't stop grey hair altogether, but can we slow it down? It would seem so. There are a few things you can do to reduce that silver lining.
Here are a few suggestions:-
if you smoke – stop! Smoking causes premature ageing in the whole body and your hair is no exception.
Reduce stress in your life – exercise is a great way of doing this and has all of the obvious other benefits to.
Stay away from bad food and eat more fruit.
Fo Ti. No it's not a sport all men like to watch in pubs. Fo Ti herb Is a Chinese herb that is supposed to restore your hair back to it's preferred colour if taken over time.
These are just a few of the things we can do to slow things down and, as usual, it comes down to our hectic lives, bad diet and too many vices that cause us to age in the way that we do. So the lesson here is take care of your body and you and your hair should be better for it.
- Why am I so unfit?
Something has compelled you to think about your health and your lifestyle. You may be overweight, recovering from a long term illness or simply feel that you should be out there doing something. Whatever...

Very good reasons for gray hair. The lack of exercise makes hair turn gray too, this was a surprise. We all must do regular exercises with good food, right!
